Alex Aloi Astradyne Vice President of Quality Assurance

Alex Aloi

VP of Quality Assurance

Alex Aloi’s career spans more than 25 years, mainly in the Consumer Products sector.  He has led world-class quality and global sourcing organizations.  A strategic thinker with track record of maximizing operations economics and improving customer satisfaction. The key to his success has been his ability to strategically design and execute customized operational models that fit the specific needs of the organizations he has led.

Alex Aloi started his career in the heavy equipment machines industry, with manufactures like Thyssen Krupp and John Deere. During these early years Alex worked in increasingly complex projects and learnt to lead in a cross functional environment and global teams.

After John Deere, Alex joined De’Longhi – one of the world’s leading high-end brands of home appliances – to lead their Quality and Technical Services organization. Alex created and executed a strategy to save million of dollars in asset recovery and products return management, while achieving significant reduction of warehouse non-revenue space.

After De’Longhi, Alex moved to HoMedics – a global brand leader in the manufacturing of Health and Wellness home products. During his tenure here, Alex successfully led Strategic Global Sourcing and Supplier Quality Management roles. He effectively integrated the supply base into the Product Development Process, resulting in a 50% reduction of products returns while increasing the products to market speed.

Subsequently, Alex joined Spectrum Brands Holdings – a global and diversified small appliance manufacturer of well-known brands like Black & Decker, Toastmaster and George Foreman – in the role of Global Director of product Quality. Here, Alex fundamentally re-organized Spectrum Brands Corporate Quality function, to align the new Advanced Product Quality Planning with the organization’s centers of excellence functions and developed resources in Asia to support the Sourcing operations.

Alex joined QVC – a multimedia retailer with operations in the United States, Europe, and Asia – in 2014.  In his role of Global Director of Factory Management and Compliance, Alex re-engineered and re-aligned QVC’s Quality Assurance and Sourcing Strategy, to exit a transactional product sourcing approach in favor of a contemporary model for brands and vendors risk-assessment. He eliminated redundancies in the supply chain operations, enabled a leaner framework for network checkpoints, vendors qualification and product approval process.

Alex received a Master of Engineering from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dubuque, Iowa.
